Meet Our Instructors
Eric Ye
Eric Ye is a composer and music educator based in Long Beach, California. A classically trained musician, Eric teaches piano and video game music composition to students all around the world. Eric regularly teaches our groundbreaking course, Japanese Video Game Music I: Composing like the Masters. Eric has taught numerous university-level courses on video game music composition at the Southeast Asian Academy Online and San Francisco State University. He has also given guest lectures at Berklee College of Music and presented his work on game composition pedagogy at conferences such as GameSoundCon and MAGWest.

Kermit Mitchell
Kermit is an experienced Software Engineer specialized in Game Development, Unity, and C#. He has worked on countless teams across the game industry in both AAA and indie studios. Growing up extensively playing games and listening to video game music, Kermit is a huge fan of all things Game Audio, especially the music. As a self-taught game composer honing his craft, Kermit aims to create music that truly connects with the gameplay and story, matching the mood of the moment. He is inspired by game composers such as Junichi Masuda, Yoko Shimomura, and Grant Kirkhope, among many others.
